I try and surround myself with the energy of the character. With Crimson Peak I hung images all over my trailer

What's the best thing that ever happened in your life?
Best thing so far..... was being accepted to study at Juilliard

My best self is Celia Foote - love the big open laugh, smile, heart

To Kill A Mockingbird - Atticus Finch was my dream Dad as a child

Oscar & I will be chatting until we are no longer on this earth. Love him and hope to work with him forever

I watch as many film as I can & am inspired by brilliant work of others

I stay quiet & I open my heart. Take down the shield

What advice can you give to a young female aspiring to be a director?
Educate yourself. Watch everything. Go to museums. Open your mind to the world

What traits do you look for in the characters you play, and what do you do to understand & get ready to play them?
The character should go on an emotional journey, to end the film in a different place than when we first met them research

What's the best memory you have of your acting career until now?
Working alongside Al Pacino on my first film. He's my greatest acting teacher
